Reply:geez, I hate to be a racist jerk, and really, I'm not, but a professor at a college I attended told a story once about a young Black lady in Detroit who wanted to name her newborn daughter "Vagina." now, this is a pretty word, a lovely word, one of my favorite words and one of my favorite places to be, but, sorry, I am a racist ar$eh0le, and some of my fave Black folk DO give their offspring some, uh, funky, unusual names. But...those names SOUND good...sigh...I'm so gonna get a violation here...

Ghetto---basically for those who dont know to make it simple, is a place of a predominate race or culture, it does not have to be poor, it can be rich.
Reply:Spechelle, almost spelt like Michelle, but pronounced like Special.
lol.
Reply:"Aquanette." No kidding. She was a co-worker of mine several years ago. I always wondered if her parents went shopping for baby names at Walgreens.
When I was in the second grade, one of my classmates was named Cliche (I don't know if it was spelled that way, but it was pronounce like in the phrase "that's an old cliche"). My parents thought that was the funniest thing they'd ever heard.

Reply:Lokeesha, or maybe Shaquisha?
Reply:Ghetto is not a state of being, it's not an adjective. A Ghetto is a low income area that is economically disadvantaged. Ghetto's originated in Europe. To call someone or something "Ghetto" or "A Ghetto", for that matter. ...Is extremely ignorant.
Reply:Oh my god! Miss The Truth whoever you are, you are a woman after my own heart! The adjevtivity of the word Ghetto is reminiscent of a variety of other ridiculous slang thrown about carelessly by uneducated twits. Yay for another way to segregate us all! YAY! we're all so stupid! YAY!
And as far as ghetto's go, there really are no true ghettos in america these days with 1 or 2 slight exceptions. if you think you live in the ghetto lets take a class trip to my favorite place in the world Russia! i grew up in baltimore city in absolute poverty and violence, but when i go to some places in russia, i weep man. we ALL have it so good, so good!
