Is the name shalenae considered ghetto?

That's me and my boyfriends name together. First 3 are the first 3 in my first name (sha), the second two are his middle name (lee) and the last 3 are the end of my middle name. I think its cute but I don't wwant my baby growing up with a name that won't get her anywhere in life. Like this girl at my job. Her name is lawanda and she fits so perfect in the stereotype. What do u think of shalenae?

I think it's nice that you are trying to combine your names to make a special, unique one, but yes, it does seem kind of ghetto.
Reply:I like the way you came up with it. And how it actually has meaning to you. But it is kind of ghetto. What you could do is name her that and call her Shea or another nickname you can come up with. So she can still have that meaningful name and a nice nickname. Good luck and congratulations on your baby!
Reply:Yes. The way it's spelled and the way it's sounds to me is ghetto... Well not ghetto, but it fits into that stereotype. I think being too creative and unique can lead into a bit of a ghetto stereotype, but if you love it, go for it....
Reply:Yeah, it's a little tacky. What about Shaylee or Shailene? It's a nice concept though.
Reply:Yeah, I guess it sounds "ghetto". I think if you simplified the name to Shay/Shea or Shanae or Shaylee it would be better.
Reply:It's GHETTO.
Reply:its different but i thinks its one of those names that would grow on a person!

Reply:How about Shalana (Sha lawn uh) Leigh?
Reply:it seems bit much Shea is cute though
