pronounced:al-ja-nay i just wanted to know some opinions on the name
Thanx
Is aljanae a ghetto name?
Tip: If you make it up it will be a ghetto name.
Alliyah is similar and isn't made up.
Reply:I dont think its ghetto. My friends name is Shannika
(Shan'nee'ka) We thought it was ghetto but its actually unique. She has a high payin job everything. I like that name, If u like it go for it. Its not ghetto its unique. People need to kno that differce between the two.
Reply:It is a very old name combination...two names made into one it means : First half means...Ascend to God and Janae ..form of Janet ) means God is gracious.
The name is so old it is unique now.
I like unique.. so I believe it is a nice meaningful name not ghetto.
Reply:Not a good choice in my opinion. I would not have even known how to pronounce it if you hadnt told me. You dont want your child to grow up having to tell everyone they ever meet how to pronounce and spell their name.
Reply:I don't like it. I really don't like that I can't pronounce it without you telling me how to either. But if you like it, that's all that matters.
Reply:i don't like it.
it sounds like algae. you know, the green nasty stuff growing on the bottom of fish tanks.
i hate when people give their kids crazy names. it's not cute.
Reply:Yes. Sorry, but yes. Bordering on Superghetto.
Reply:A little, not THAT much,
its just ugly. Its a little white ghetto actually. Kind of like "Krystal" :S *cringe*

Reply:If I am truly honest - I have never heard it!
But on first time hearing it, it's very pretty.

Reply:Yes. It sounds like you just picked out random letters and put them together.
Reply:i wouldnt call it ghetto but i really dont like the name at all!! maybe go for a name more common!!!
